Boilerhouse Prime
Boilerhouse Prime is a refined steakhouse concept I helped design as part of the hospitality team at KTGY. Located on the campus of Purdue University, this project celebrates the proud legacy of the university and its Boilermaker community—drawing inspiration from its golfing legends, academic visionaries, and enduring traditions, with an identity rooted in a collegiate, club-inspired aesthetic.

The visual identity for Boilerhouse Prime draws directly from the traditions of collegiate culture and Purdue pride. The logo is inspired by classic varsity lettering, evoking the bold typography found on vintage college jackets—bringing a sense of legacy and athletic prestige to the brand.
A custom pattern was developed using the topography of Purdue’s golf course, subtly integrating the landscape's legacy into the visual language. This pattern appears across branded materials, adding texture and narrative depth.
The color palette—black and gold—mirrors Purdue University’s official colors, but is elevated through premium finishes and materials to convey a sense of tradition, sophistication, and timelessness. The result is a brand that feels both proudly institutional and distinctly upscale.

The horizontal and vertical logo variations are thoughtfully applied across different brand touchpoints, each chosen with purpose to suit the context.
The logo isn’t overused—instead, it appears selectively, allowing the brand to breathe while still maintaining a strong identity.

It's the subtle yet intentional design touches—like branded ice cubes and a custom entry door handle—that quietly elevate the experience, adding a layer of sophistication and reinforcing the brand at every turn.
